As kids many of us played with cars and there is a good chance those cars your were playing with were Hot Wheels. Depending on when you grew up there is a good chance that you might have been playing with a Redline. You see Redline Hot Wheels (often referred to as Redlines) were some of the first Hot Wheels produced by Mattel. Mattel as you probably know has been the maker of many toy lines for over 50 years and Hot Wheels are said to be one of their most successful toy lines ever.
While Redline Hot Wheels may just sound like any other toy car the truth is these cars are extremely rare collectibles fetching any where from $25 to sometimes $1,000 and up. You may be saying to your self that is crazy but the most expensive Hot Wheel ever sold was actually sold for $72,000. Keep in mind it was a very rare vehicle that there is only a couple of (Hot Pink ones that is). It's also extremely rare because the car was never sold in stores as they made modifications to the original design which then was sold as the Volkswagen Beach Bomb. If you ever happen to see a rear-loading Beach Bomb, these are the rare ones and fetch at a minimum $10,000 if they are in good condition.
For now, take a look around the site to learn more about these Redlines. For browsing purposes we've broken them out by years. Here are a couple links to help you out. Please visit: URL: http://hwredlineguide.com
